1953. Foundation by J.Coucheir at Deurne, with a limited production of Pork bellies and bacon. 1983. The company comes under charge of Félicien Timmermans and is been transformed to VerbaMeat. Where in the beginning a pickling production was, this changed in to a modern production for cooking ham. 1989. Due to expansion of client and products, the plant in Deurne becomes too small and Verbameat is relocated in a new and bigger production plant at Kruibeke. There they also start with the production of Meat and poultry products. After a small work inn period VerbaMeat starts with the supply to Distributors and export customers in the EU. On structural level the advantage is taken to bring the production area to the European hygiene standards. 1999. As an answer to the demand of the market, VerbaMeat begins with dicing and slicing Ham and poultry products.
